ALAS x Tara Whalley was a collaboration born out of the mutual desire to bring positive change to skilful artisans and re-introduce substance and story into the products we love.
This slipper was hand dyed by Francesca using native plants, woven by Ana and her family in San Juan Lakes district and then sent to a small cobblers workshop to be turned into this beautiful shoe!
Tara Whalley is an ethical designer, spending the past year developing and sourcing collections in the Guatemalan Highlands. She teamed with local artesanos and war affected Mayan weavers to create sustainable fair wage work, through her designs.
Suitable for outdoor and indoor wear.
Due to the nature of production of this shoe there may be slight imperfections, please embrace them as they hold part of the story of this hand made product. Please note, inside shoe colour may vary.
Compostion: Organic cotton yarn, plant dyed, Guatemalan vege-tan leather inner sole and sole.
